It is absolutely crazy to think that my one month trip to 'Mt. Binga Outdoor Education Centre' was a year ago! Time goes so quickly! And as I realised that the trip was ONE WHOLE YEAR AGO I couldn't help reflect on my time there. I was so worried in the lead up to the trip and was so stressed about having to go. But once I was dragged onto the bus and arrived at camp, I knew it would be a month to remember! No turning back now! At first it was very difficult for me! I found the first few days very hard, but it wasn't long before I was having the time of my life. I must admit, the 2 day hike and the 3 day hike were NOT fun! Before the 3 day we actually hoped we would get hypothermia or there would be sever storms so we didn't have to go (Seriously!) It seems a bit exaggerated right? but at the time we were serious! We got lost for about 2 hours, walked in the rain and our tent got flooded but once they were over we had a LOT to laugh about!
One of my funniest memories from Binga was when myself and my amazing friend Tamsyn were on cooking! The fire alarm did not stop going off the entire time, there was smoke everywhere and while one person is telling me "Ahhh the chicken is burning!" and another person is saying to Tamsyn who is making the salad "I hope that is the bowl of scraps, right?" we had 4 leaders in there at once trying to help us and it was hectic, but hilarious all the same!
Mt. Binga is a working farm which is super exciting! Because that meant there were heaps of animals! We had a few horse riding sessions which were so much fun, including a trail ride which was the best! THERE WERE ALSO BABY COWS! MY FAVOURITE! They were absolutely adorable and I loved feeding them their milk out of the bottle, SO CUTE! A huge thank you to the leaders because you all were part of the reason Mt. Binga was so amazing! You were always so supportive, encouraging and most importantly we always had so much fun laughing with you all.
When Binga came to the end and our families came to pick us up we were all so sad! We didn't want to leave the beautiful horses, baby cows and the leaders who we got really close with! We lived in our own little world out there and our biggest worry was whether or not we would survive the hike! To this day, I miss sitting around the campfire with all 52 of us singing and telling stories! I still miss my baby cows, the horses, the leaders and the community out there. Mt. Binga was such an incredible time for all of us that were lucky enough to experience it. So my final thought on Mt Binga... is that I am forever thankful for my parents forcing me to go!
I am a HUGE fan of Harry Styles and I was lucky enough to attend the Harry Styles Concert in Brisbane! What a night! I had the best time! He is such an amazing performer and it was so wonderful to be able to see him live! He opened the show with 'Only Angel' and when he appeared on stage the entire arena (including myself) went wild! I was singing and dancing the entire night through and had the best time. The crowd went wild when he sang some One Direction favourites 'What Makes You Beautiful, Stockholm Syndrome and If I Could Fly'. Some of my personal favourites from the night were Only Angel, Kiwi, Stockholm Syndrome and The Chain. He is the king of entertaining the crowd and I couldn't take the smile off my face! I was so sad when it finished! So much anticipation for the night and then it was over! But it was certainly one to remember ;)
